Does Reputation Defender work?
Reputation Defender is good to remove your personal identifying information from data farms such as: INTELLIUS, ZABA SEARCH, BACKGROUNDCHECKS.com, CHOICE POINT, PEOPLE FINDER, US SEARCH, etc.This can be done by the optional purchase of their "My Privacy" option at a low rate under $5.00 per month. Once you have cleared your name you can stop the service and continue to monitor the same sites which your information appeared and manually remove your information if it appears again. Or keep the service and be automatically notified if your peronal information appears anywhere on any of the identity farm networks.
Starting up you would enter all your information necessary for Reputation Defender to conduct its search. You would remove false positives (not you) information found to narrow the lists. Once your information has been found you have the opportunity to have Reputation Defender remove the information automatically. If they are unable to remove it, they will provide you with a printable letter that you may have to mail to some of the data farms that do not accept online removal requests.
All of this can be done on your own without Reputation Defender, by yourself at no cost at all. You would only pay for the mail postage and your time to write letters to each and all companies that offer your personal information publicly. Also you would have to conduct your own search locating the companies, phone numbers, addresses needed for you to remove your information yourself.
